Detailed Itinerary with Destination History

Day 01: Rishikesh → Pipalkoti

(215 km / 8–9 hrs | Alt: 1,340 m)

Meet at Rishikesh early morning and drive along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. En route, pass through Devprayag, Srinagar, and Rudraprayag. Reach Pipalkoti by evening.

Overnight stay at Pipalkoti.

Day 02: Pipalkoti → Kalpeshwar → Pipalkoti

(70 km round trip / 4 hrs | Alt: 2,100 m)

Visit Kalpeshwar, the first Shiva temple of Panch Kedar. Short walk from Urgam Valley to the temple. Enjoy panoramic mountain views of Nanda Ghunti and Trishul peaks. Return to Pipalkoti in the evening.

Overnight stay at Pipalkoti.

Day 03: Pipalkoti → Sagar Village → Lyuti Bugyal

(Drive: 30 km | Trek: 8 km / 6–7 hrs | Alt: 3,000 m)

Drive to Sagar Village, start the Rudranath trek. Trek through forests, shepherd trails, and meadows to Lyuti Bugyal.

Overnight stay in tents/homestay.

Day 04: Lyuti Bugyal → Rudranath → Lyuti Bugyal

(Trek: 18 km round trip / 10–12 hrs | Alt: 3,550 m)

Trek to Rudranath Temple amidst grassy meadows and rocky slopes. Enjoy views of Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Hathi Parvat. Return to Lyuti Bugyal.

Overnight stay at Lyuti Bugyal.

Day 05: Lyuti Bugyal → Sagar → Chopta

(Trek: 8 km | Drive: 35 km)

Descend to Sagar Village and drive to Chopta, the "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand". Evening free to explore.

Overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 06: Chopta → Tungnath → Chandrashila → Chopta

(Trek: 8–9 km round trip / 7–8 hrs | Alt: 3,500–3,700 m)

Trek to Tungnath Temple, continue to Chandrashila Peak (optional) for sunrise views over Nanda Devi, Kedarnath Dome, Chaukhamba, and Trishul. Descend back to Chopta.

Overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 07: Chopta → Ransi → Gaundhar

(Drive: 52 km | Trek: 6 km / 4–5 hrs)

Drive to Ransi, start trek to Gaundhar along valleys, streams, and villages. Reach Gaundhar surrounded by terraced fields and forest hills.

Overnight stay at Gaundhar.

Day 08: Gaundhar → Madhmaheshwar Temple

(Trek: 10 km / 6–7 hrs | Alt: 3,200 m)

Trek gradually through rhododendron forests to Madhmaheshwar Temple, surrounded by snow-clad mountains.

Overnight stay at Madhmaheshwar.

Day 09: Madhmaheshwar → Ransi → Guptkashi/Phata

(Trek: 16 km / 8–9 hrs | Drive: 45 km)

Trek down to Ransi and drive to Guptkashi/Phata. Prepare for the final Kedar trek.

Overnight stay at Guptkashi/Phata.

Day 10: Guptkashi → Gaurikund → Kedarnath

(Drive: 35 km | Trek: 16 km / 7–8 hrs | Alt: 3,600 m)

Drive to Gaurikund and begin trek to Kedarnath, passing waterfalls, pine forests, and valleys. Reach Kedarnath for darshan.

Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Day 11: Kedarnath → Gaurikund → Guptkashi/Phata

(Trek: 16 km | Drive: 35 km)

Attend early morning aarti, trek back to Gaurikund, and drive to Guptkashi/Phata. Rest after the pilgrimage trek.

Day 12: Guptkashi → Rishikesh

(180 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh. Trip concludes with blessings and memories of Panch Kedar.
