Goddess Yamuna is one of the most revered rivers and deities in Hinduism. She is the daughter of Surya Dev (Sun God) and Sanjna, and the sister of Yama, the god of death. Yamuna is worshipped as the goddess of purity, compassion, and life-giving energy. Her holy source is Yamunotri, one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand.
