Detailed Itinerary with Destination History

Day 01: Delhi → Haridwar

(220 km / 6–7 hrs | Alt: 310 m)

Meet our driver at Delhi Airport / Railway Station / Hotel / Home (between 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) and drive to Haridwar. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. In the evening, visit Mansa Devi Temple and attend the divine Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri.

Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Haridwar

Known as the “Gateway to the Gods,” Haridwar is one of India’s seven holiest cities. Located on the banks of the sacred River Ganga, it is famous for its ghats, temples, and powerful spiritual energy. The evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri is an unforgettable experience.

Day 02: Haridwar → Guptkashi

(220 km / 8–9 hrs | Alt: 1,319 m)

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Mandakini River at Tilwara, flowing from Kedarnath. On arrival, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple and check in at the hotel.

Guptkashi

The name literally means “Hidden Kashi.” According to legend, Lord Shiva concealed himself here from the Pandavas before revealing himself at Kedarnath. During winter, Kedarnath priests reside here, making it an important spiritual stop.

Day 03: Guptkashi → Kedarnath (Drive to Sonprayag – Trek / Helicopter)

After an early breakfast, proceed to Sonprayag and take a local jeep to Gaurikund. From here, begin the 18 km trek to Kedarnath Temple or opt for pony/palki (at own cost). Alternatively, you may fly by helicopter from Phata, Sersi, or Guptkashi (as per booking).

Kedarnath

One of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath stands majestically at the foot of the snow-clad Himalayas. After the Mahabharata war, the Pandavas are believed to have sought forgiveness from Lord Shiva here. Its spiritual aura and dramatic mountain setting make it one of India’s most sacred destinations.

Day 04: Kedarnath → Guptkashi

Early morning, attend Abhishek and Darshan at Kedarnath Temple. After breakfast, trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi.

Weather Note

Due to high altitude, Kedarnath remains cold throughout the year. Carry warm clothing even during summer months.

Day 05: Guptkashi → Badrinath

(220 km / 9–10 hrs | Alt: 3,133 m)

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath, one of the holiest shrines of Lord Vishnu. Check in upon arrival. In the evening, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund and attend the Aarti at Badrinath Temple.

Badrinath

Situated between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, Badrinath is regarded as the abode of Lord Vishnu. The majestic Neelkanth Peak forms a stunning backdrop to the temple. Nearby attractions include Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, and Charan Paduka.

Day 06: Badrinath → Joshimath → Rudraprayag

(160 km / 7 hrs | Alt: 895 m)

After breakfast, drive towards Rudraprayag. En route, visit Joshimath and the Narsingh Temple, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. Continue along the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers and check in at Rudraprayag.

Joshimath: Founded by Adi Shankaracharya, one of the four major monastic centers in India.
Rudraprayag: One of the sacred Panch Prayags where the Alaknanda meets the Mandakini River.

Day 07: Rudraprayag → Haridwar

(165 km / 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed towards Haridwar/Rishikesh. Visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and nearby temples. Spend the evening at leisure along the serene Ganga ghats.

Rishikesh

Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Rishikesh is known as the “Yoga Capital of the World” and is a center for spirituality, meditation, and adventure activities.

Day 08: Rishikesh → Delhi / Delhi Airport

(~245 km / 6–7 hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Delhi and drop at the airport / railway station / hotel / home as per your departure plan.
