Overview

The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimage circuits in Hinduism, covering four holy shrines located in different corners of India. Established by Adi Shankaracharya, this spiritual journey is believed to help devotees attain salvation and divine blessings.

    1. Badrinath Dham (Uttarakhand)
    Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Badrinath is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas on the banks of the Alaknanda River. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Northern India.

    2. Jagannath Puri (Odisha)
    The famous Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Puri is renowned for its annual Rath Yatra festival and rich spiritual heritage.

    3. Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu)
    Rameswaram is home to the Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva here after defeating Ravana.

    4. Dwarka Dham (Gujarat)
    Dwarka is the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna and houses the sacred Dwarkadhish Temple. It is one of the oldest and most revered pilgrimage destinations in India.

Detailed Itinerary with Destination History

Day 01: Delhi – Rishikesh

Upon arrival at Delhi Airport/Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed to Rishikesh. In the evening, visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and attend the divine Ganga Aarti.

  • Rishikesh is known as the "Yoga Capital of the World" and has been a spiritual center for saints and sages for centuries.

Day 02: Rishikesh – Joshimath

After breakfast, drive towards Joshimath via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, and Nandprayag. Visit Narasimha Temple and Adi Guru Shankaracharya Math.

  • Devprayag marks the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi Rivers, where the sacred Ganga originates.
  • Joshimath was established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya and serves as the winter seat of Lord Badrinath.
  • Narasimha Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu's Narasimha incarnation and holds great religious importance.

Day 03: Joshimath – Badrinath

Proceed to Badrinath and visit the sacred Badrinath Temple. Take a holy dip at Tapt Kund and explore Mana Village, Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, and Saraswati River.

  • Badrinath Temple is one of the Char Dhams and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
  • Mana Village is regarded as the last Indian village before the Indo-Tibetan border.

Day 04: Badrinath – Rudraprayag

After morning darshan, drive to Rudraprayag while enjoying the scenic Himalayan landscapes.

  • Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayags and marks the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers.
  • The place is associated with Lord Shiva, who appeared here in his Rudra form.

Day 05: Rudraprayag – Haridwar

Drive to Haridwar and visit Har Ki Pauri, Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi Temple, and Daksha Mahadev Temple. Attend the evening Ganga Aarti.

  • Haridwar is one of the Sapta Puris and hosts the famous Kumbh Mela.
  • Har Ki Pauri is believed to bear the footprints of Lord Vishnu.

Day 06: Haridwar – Delhi

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 07: Delhi – Bhubaneswar – Puri

Fly to Bhubaneswar and drive to Puri. En route, visit the magnificent Konark Sun Temple.

  • Puri is one of the four sacred Char Dhams and home to Lord Jagannath.

Day 08: Jagannath Puri Darshan

Visit the sacred Jagannath Temple and explore the holy town of Puri.

Day 09: Puri – Bhubaneswar – Chennai

Drive to Bhubaneswar Airport and fly to Chennai. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival.

Day 10: Chennai – Madurai – Rameswaram

Fly to Madurai and drive to the sacred town of Rameswaram.

Day 11: Rameswaram Sightseeing

Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, Agni Theertham, Dhanushkodi, and other sacred sites.

  • Dhanushkodi is believed to be connected with the Ramayana and the construction of Ram Setu.
